Similkameen Valley wine delivery

The Similkameen Valley lies west of the South Okanagan over the Richter Pass, a narrow, dramatic corridor walled by steep mountains and carved by the Similkameen River. It is hot and dry in summer with a famously persistent afternoon wind that keeps vines dry and disease pressure low, one reason the valley became a centre of organic farming, and its rocky, stony soils give the wines a taut, mineral edge. The Similkameen holds its own official GI, separate from the Okanagan Valley, and is known for fruit stands as much as tasting rooms.
